can I do this with a different racial bomber say the Hound or Nemesis? or is there something about the manticore that is preferred?
You should be able to do it in any bomber, I just found the Manticore the easiest to fit and the kinetic damage is pretty good for the missions I'm running Generally speaking, you should aim to have at least 600+ DPS, 75+km firing and targeting range, and relatively good cap (at least 5+ minutes with MWD on).

Depends on the mission. This one should be the exact same.
Any BS whit a avarage dps can do this site faster. 1. Land on grid 2. Target the Structure and Align outgoing 3. Kill Zor 4. Warp out. Since theres no Scram and you only need to tank the Incoming DPS for a short time its doable. If needed use LSE or Armor Plates.
Sure, I'm not saying this is better than a BS, just another option which can be a more preferable choice depending on your circumstances.
Yeah sure a Marauder could do it faster. I think the video is exactly about doing it with a very alternative option. Looks fun I will try it.
You are missing that he is running them in lowsec, this is a safer option for nullsec/lowsec in certain circumstances where some travel may be involved.
